National Youth Day is observed every year on 12 January, on the occasion of birthanniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Various programs are being organized on the day byGovernment and non government organizations of youth on the issues related to youth. Red Ribbon Club of KSM DB College along With NSS also observed the day with variousprogrammes.  On the occasion various programmes like essay competition and Elocution was organized at Chemistry Seminar hall. Students participated in all the events with greatenthusiasm. Elocution competition was judged by Prof. Ragi, Assistant professor, and Mr.Adarsh from Malayalam department
