The Department of Commerce was established in 1965 and has since grown into a vibrant center of academic excellence. The department offers Four Year Under Graduate Progamme in B.Com ( Elective- Co-operation), Business Management as Minor programme as well as a postgraduate programme in M.Com (Finance and Accounting). It is also recognized as a research centre under the University of Kerala, providing opportunities for doctoral studies (PhD) in Commerce. At present, the PG and Research Department of Commerce has seven faculty members and more than 200 students, along with a registered alumni association that actively contributes to its growth. The department also emphasizes co-curricular and extension activities through its Commerce Association, which organizes various programmes for the benefit of both the institution and society. Notably “Pranaah,” the intercollegiate management fest stands out as a trendsetter promoting innovation, talent, organising skills and creative engagement.
